After his well recieved 'Obey' track off the Shadow Infestation EP, Throttler returns to Exegene with a solo release. The A side 'Come N' Claim' features an excellent manipulated vocal sample, heavily reminiscent of Photek's 'UFO'. Accompanying that, is Throttler's speciality of extremely crisp and punchy drums with an enormous amount of edits. Slick squelchy synths and sub basses sporadically emerge through the irregular drum breaks.
The flip 'Minus 13 Floors' take the release to an extremely dark and heavy vibe. With clear influences of the old No U-Turn releases, Throttler starts this track with some cleanly processed breaks with intermittant reverb, Nico style. The tune then breaks down into a quiet atmosphere before exploding with some immensely crisp amens and an intensely meaty bassline. Quite possibly the fiercest track on Exegene so far!
